Author Guidelines

Gender Equality Journal is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal accepting paper submissions in the areas related to gender, families, and children. Only 10 selected articles will be published in each Gender Equality Journal issue (equals to 10 articles per volume/annually).

In order to increase the publication quality, starting from May 2021, Gender Equality Journal has applied some new regulations. Text must be written in English. Submitted article should normally range from 4000 to 6,000 words, although up to 7000 words will be accepted under exceptional circumstances. Book reviews should be between 1,000 to 2,500 words.

The manuscript submitted to the editor must be a finalized script that has been formatted in accordance with Gender Equality's guidance and style guidelines. Text typed using Times New Roman letter size 12, line spacing exactly at 1.15. The bibliography only contains references that are actually cited in the manuscript and follows the American Psychological Association (APA) Style rules.

Submitted writing must adhere to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA). Authors need to register with the journal prior to submitting, or, if already registered, can log in and begin the five-step submission process.

The submitted writing should be in Microsoft Word document format (.docx is recommended) and should not exceed 2 MB in size. Illustrations and tables should be carefully checked for dimensions and resolution. Abstract and keywords are required upon submission.

As part of the blind review policy, every submitted manuscript should not present the author's name, either in the filename or in the body text of the file. Only accepted papers will be sent to reviewers, while rejected submissions will be returned to the author.
